CEMTECH Limited. is a Kenya based Cement Company registered to set up a Green field cement plant in Pokot District of Western Kenya. An area of 650 acres has been granted to CEMTECH by Kario Valley Development Authority (KVD) for setting up the residential colony, cement plant, power plant and mining the limestone deposit in Sebit – Chepchoi and Ortum area. This cement project site is located 83 Km NE of Kitale town and 180 Km north of Eldoret town. This site is crossed by a main tarmac road from Eldoret to Lodwar via Kitale-Makutano-Chapareria. Eldoret and Kitale are the nearest airports to site. Mombasa is situated at 975 Km from site which is an entry port to East and Central Africa. Two rivers are connected at one point near to site and both of them are continuously flowing with water. 11 KV power line is passing through the site.

A state-of-the-art ultra modern cement plant will be commissioned here with an annual capacity of 1 Million MT of Cement in 1st Phase of the project along with a 15 MW captive power plant. The ground breaking ceremony of the plant was held on 15th June, 2010 by The RT. Hon. Raila Omolo Odinga – The Prime Minister of Republic of Kenya. This greenfield dry process cement plant will be constructed and operated in accordance with highest international standards for environment protection. The company will produce OPC and PPC grades of Cement confirming to Kenya Bureau of Standard. 

CEMTECH plans to supply cement produce from this plant to the domestic market of western and central Kenya as well as export market of Uganda and Sudan.
